Macchiato [mac-ee-r-toe]
The macchiato is an espresso marked with a spoonful of foamed milk.
To make a macchiato you will need;
- 7g of freshly ground Piazza d'Oro Forza Espresso beans
- 0.6ltr. stainless steel jug
- 10ml of foamed milk
- An espresso cup
Brew
Brew an espresso as shown on the espresso page.
Fill & Stretch
Fill a 0.6ltr. stainless steel jug with fresh cold milk to just below the spout level. Keeping the steam arm just below the milk surface at all times, heat the milk until the jug is hot to touch.
Spoon
Spoon a couple of teaspoons of froth onto the middle of the espresso and serve.
